How to play Mahjong 3D
- You start facing a solid block of mahjong tiles. Tap or click one tile, then tap an identical tile to clear the pair and open up the block.
- A tile can only be taken when at least two of its adjacent sides are free — that is, two sides that meet at a corner. Tiles buried in the middle of a face stay locked until a neighbour goes, and they are shown dimmed so you can tell at a glance.
- Use the ↺ and ↻ arrows beside the block (or the left and right arrow keys) to spin it a quarter turn and read the tiles around the back. Rotating never changes which tiles are legal — it only changes what you can see.
- Every match adds two seconds to the clock, and matching again within three seconds doubles your score multiplier. Repeat the same symbol two matches in a row for a 5x Multimatch bonus.
- Clear every tile off the block before the timer hits zero to bank a level-clear bonus and unlock the next of the 12 levels.
Tips
- Work the corners and vertical edges first. They have the most free sides, and taking them turns the locked tiles beside them into legal moves.
- Spin a full circle before your first match. Half the block is facing away from you at any moment, and pairs you have not seen yet are the ones that strand you later.
- Once you spot two or three matches, take them back to back — the speed multiplier doubles per match inside three seconds, so a chain of four fast pairs is worth far more than four careful ones.
- If the same symbol shows up twice on the board, clear both pairs consecutively to trigger the 5x Multimatch on top of whatever speed multiplier you already have.
- Save your one shuffle for a genuine dead end. If you do run out of legal moves entirely, the block reshuffles itself for free without spending it.
