Terms of Service

The rules for using WebGamePlus. Short version: play as much as you like, do not copy or re-host the games, and the site is provided as is.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of webgameplus.com and every game and page on it (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please stop using the Site.

"We", "us" and "WebGamePlus" mean the operators of the Site; "you" means you as a visitor. Because there are no accounts, using the Site is the only way you accept these Terms.

2. The service we provide

WebGamePlus offers free, single-player HTML5 games that run in your browser. There is nothing to install, nothing to buy and no account to create. We may add, change, suspend or remove any game or feature at any time without notice — including games you have progress in.

The Site is provided for personal, non-commercial entertainment. Advertising helps cover hosting and development costs.

3. Eligibility and children

Anyone may play. The catalogue is family friendly, with no gore, no gambling using real money and no adult themes. Since we collect no personal information to play, no parental consent is required — but we recommend that younger children play with adult supervision, as advertising is delivered by third parties and is not fully within our control.

4. Acceptable use

You may:

  • Play any game as often as you like, on any device you own or are permitted to use.
  • Link to any page on the Site, including individual game pages.
  • Share screenshots of your scores, and mention or review games in your own content.
  • Recommend the Site in a classroom, workplace or community setting.

You may not:

  • Copy, download, re-host, mirror, embed or redistribute the games or the Site's code, artwork or written content.
  • Sell, licence, rent or otherwise commercially exploit any part of the Site.
  • Remove, obscure or alter copyright notices, credits or branding.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile or modify game code, other than as permitted by applicable law.
  • Use bots, scrapers or automated tools to crawl or extract content at scale, or otherwise place unreasonable load on our hosting.
  • Interfere with, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its hosting or any related system.
  • Use the Site in any way that breaks the law, infringes anyone's rights, or is intended to defraud advertisers, including artificially generating ad impressions or clicks.
  • Present the Site or its games as your own, or imply an affiliation or endorsement that does not exist.

We may block access where we reasonably believe these rules are being broken.

5. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — game code, game design, artwork, thumbnails, logos, layout and written copy — is owned by WebGamePlus or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership to you.

You are granted a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access and play the games through a standard web browser. Any other use requires our written permission. To licence a game, or to embed one on your own site, email contact@webgameplus.com.

Some games are inspired by classic or public-domain game mechanics; mechanics themselves are not owned by anyone. Where a third-party name or trademark appears, it is used descriptively only, remains the property of its owner, and implies no affiliation with or endorsement by that owner.

6. Copyright notices and takedown

We respect intellectual property rights and expect the same of others. If you believe material on the Site infringes your copyright, email contact@webgameplus.com with the subject line Copyright notice, including:

  1. The exact URL of the material concerned.
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
  3. Evidence that you own the rights, or are authorised to act for the owner.
  4. Your name and contact details.
  5. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and given in good faith.

We investigate every notice and remove or disable infringing material where the claim is valid. Deliberately false claims may expose you to liability.

7. Game progress and scores

Scores, best times and level progress are stored only in your own browser's local storage on the device you played on. They are not backed up, cannot be transferred between devices, and are permanently lost if you clear your browsing data, play in private mode, or the browser evicts the data.

We give no guarantee that any progress will persist, and we cannot recover it for you. Updating or removing a game may also reset its saved data.

8. Third-party content and links

The Site loads third-party services (advertising, analytics and web fonts) and may link to third-party sites. We do not control those services or sites and are not responsible for their content, practices, availability, or the accuracy of any advertisement. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Our own handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

The Site and all games are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.
  • Any specific game will work on your particular device, browser or connection.
  • Defects will be corrected, or that a game will remain available.
  • Saved progress will be preserved.

Games are entertainment, not medical, educational or cognitive-therapy products, and no claim is made about their effect on memory, intelligence or health. Take regular breaks; stop playing if you experience eye strain, headaches or discomfort.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WebGamePlus and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, lost game progress, lost profits or lost time, arising from your use of or inability to use the Site.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for all claims is limited to USD 100 or the amount you have paid us in the previous twelve months (which, for a free site, is normally nothing) — whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WebGamePlus and its operators against any claims, losses, liabilities and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page shows the current version, and continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the revised Terms. If a change is material, we will note it here.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Site at any time. We may restrict or block access to the Site, in whole or in part, where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached or to protect the Site's availability and security. Sections 5, 9, 10 and 11 survive any termination.

14. Governing law and severability

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and without limiting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in force.

15. Entire agreement and contact

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, make up the entire agreement between you and WebGamePlus regarding the Site. Questions about these Terms: contact@webgameplus.com. More about the project on the About page, or reach us via Contact.
