Personality Quiz is a free online personality quiz game you can play in your browser with no download, no sign-up and no email. Pick one of six quizzes — Which element are you?, Which season are you?, Which animal are you?, What kind of explorer are you?, Which mythical creature are you? and Which chess piece are you? — and answer ten or twelve quick questions about free Saturdays, favourite snacks, group projects and how you cheer up a friend. At the end you get a result card: who you are, a short portrait, three strengths, one gentle thing to try, and your mix of the top three results in percentages. Share it with friends in one tap, take the quiz again, or try another: there are 30 results in all, and the game keeps track of the ones you have found. Every question and result was written for this game. It is just for fun — a party-game take on the classic web personality quiz, not a psychological test.
How to play Personality Quiz
- Choose one of the six quizzes on the first screen: element, season, animal, explorer, mythical creature or chess piece. Tap its card, or press 1-6.
- Read each question and pick the answer that sounds most like you — tap it, or press 1-4 or A-D. There are no right or wrong answers.
- Changed your mind? Press Previous question (or Backspace) to step back and answer again.
- After the last question your result card appears: who you are, a short portrait, three strengths, one thing to try and your top-three mix in percentages.
- Press Share to send your result, Take it again for a fresh run with the answers in a new order, or Other quizzes to try the next one.
- Collect results: each quiz card shows how many of its results you have found, out of 30 across all six quizzes.
Tips
- Answer with your first instinct. The quizzes work best when you pick what you would actually do, not what sounds best.
- Look at your mix, not only the top result. A 40% Fire and 35% Air card says something different from 70% Fire.
- Want to find the other results? Each one has its own kind of answer — the quiet one, the bold one, the planner's one. Take a quiz again thinking of a friend, and see who they get.
- The answers are shuffled every time you take a quiz, so tapping the same position again will not repeat a result.
- Play it together: read the questions out loud to a group and guess each other's results before revealing them.
FAQ
Is Personality Quiz free to play?
Yes. All six quizzes are free to play in your browser, with no download, no account, no email and no in-game purchases.
Is this a real personality test?
No. It is a quiz for fun, written for this game, in the spirit of the personality quizzes people share online. It is not based on any psychological test or trait model, it is not a measure of anything, and it should not be used to make decisions about yourself or anyone else.
Which quizzes are there?
Six: Which element are you? (fire, water, earth or air), Which season are you?, Which animal are you? (owl, otter, wolf, fox, bear or hummingbird), What kind of explorer are you?, Which mythical creature are you? (dragon, phoenix, griffin, unicorn or sphinx) and Which chess piece are you? — 64 questions and 30 results in all.
How is my result worked out?
Every answer is worth two points, given to one result or split between two. Your result is the one with the most points, and the card shows your top three as percentages. If two results tie, the latest answer that leaned towards one of them decides, so the same answers always give the same result.
Are some results more likely than others?
Barely. Every result can collect exactly the same number of points across its quiz, and when we answered each quiz at random 40,000 times every result came up within 15% of an even share. So the result you get depends on your answers, not on the quiz leaning one way.
Can I share my result?
Yes. Press Share on the result card to send it through your device's share menu; where there is no share menu, it is copied to the clipboard instead. The message says which quiz you took and which result you got — nothing else.
Does the game save my answers?
It keeps only which results you have found and your last result for each quiz, stored in your own browser so the collection is there next time. Your answers themselves are not kept or sent anywhere.
Does Personality Quiz work on mobile?
Yes. Tap the answers on a phone or tablet; on a computer you can also use the keyboard — 1-6 to pick a quiz, 1-4 or A-D to answer and Backspace to go back.
