Cooking Challenge is a free online time-management cooking game. Customers sit down with a recipe — bun, patty, cheese, in that order — and their own patience timer ticking down above them. Tap an order to start building it, tap ingredients from the pantry to stack the plate in the right sequence, then serve. Serve fast and they tip, up to half the plate again; let the timer empty and they walk out with your coins. What makes it a game rather than a queue is choosing which order to build: the four-ingredient plate pays double, but the two-ingredient customer next to it is about to leave. Eight shifts open the pantry from four ingredients to eight, shorten patience from 26 seconds to 16, and fill more seats at once.

How to play Cooking Challenge

  1. Customers appear along the top with their recipe shown as a row of coloured ingredients, left to right, and a patience bar underneath.
  2. Tap a customer to make their order the one you are building. The plate below shows an empty slot for each ingredient.
  3. Tap ingredients in the pantry to fill the slots in order. A wrong ingredient stays on the plate and outlines red — you have to clear it, which costs time.
  4. When the plate matches the recipe the Serve button turns green. Press it to hand the plate over and collect the coins.
  5. Serving with plenty of patience left adds a tip worth up to half the plate again, so speed pays twice.
  6. A customer whose patience runs out walks off and takes their coins with them. Beat the shift's coin target to unlock the next level.

Tips

  • Take the shortest order when two customers are about to leave. Two two-item plates beat one four-item plate you do not finish in time.
  • The tip is worth chasing. A plate served at full patience is worth 50% more than the same plate served at the last second, which is often the whole difference against the target.
  • Switching customers clears the plate, so decide before you start tapping. Half-built plates are the main way coins get lost.
  • Watch the bar colour rather than the numbers. A bar turning red is the only cue you need to change target.
  • On the eight-ingredient levels, learn where each colour sits in the pantry. Hunting for "onion" by reading the label is what makes long recipes miss.

FAQ

Is Cooking Challenge free to play?

Yes. It runs entirely in your browser with no download, no account, and no in-game purchases. Level progress saves on your own device.

Does the order of ingredients matter?

Yes. The recipe is a sequence, not a set — bun then patty is a different plate from patty then bun, and only the exact sequence can be served.

What happens if I put the wrong ingredient on?

It stays on the plate and the slot outlines red. You can clear the whole plate and start again, which costs you seconds rather than coins directly — but seconds are what the customers are counting.

How do tips work?

The tip is proportional to how much patience the customer had left when you served, up to half the plate's value again. A plate served immediately is worth 150% of its base price.

Can I play it on a phone?

Yes. Everything is a tap — pick a customer, tap ingredients, press Serve — and the layout keeps the pantry in a fixed place so your thumb does not have to chase it.
