Ice Cream Maker is a free online ice cream shop game you can play instantly in your browser, with no download and no sign-up. Customers walk up with an order card you read from the bottom of the cone upward — a waffle cone, a cake cone or a cup, then one to four scoops in a fixed order, then whatever toppings they asked for. You build it in that order from the racks below the counter, and the trick is that the half-built cone is on a clock of its own. From the moment the first scoop lands, a melt bar starts filling, and if it fills before you serve, the top scoop slumps off the stack and the toppings go with it. That turns a wrong tap into something that actually costs you: undo pulls the mistake back off, but the melt keeps running through it, so a four-scoop order you fumble twice may reach the customer as a puddle. Eight levels grow from single-scoop waffle cones with three flavours to a full eight-flavour menu with five toppings, a shorter fuse on every customer, and ice cream that melts in twelve seconds instead of twenty-two. There are no lives and nothing to unlock with money — just coins, tips for serving fast, and a target to clear each shift.
How to play Ice Cream Maker
- Customers line up along the top of the counter. Each card shows exactly what they want, drawn the way the cone is built: container at the bottom, scoops rising off it, toppings on top.
- Tap a customer to make their order the one you are building. The card highlights, and the counter in the middle becomes their cone.
- Pick a container first — a waffle cone, a cake cone, or a cup. Nothing can go on until one is chosen, and swapping it later empties the stack.
- Add the scoops from the bottom upward, in the order shown on the card. A scoop that does not match the card is outlined in red so you can see the mistake before you serve it.
- Add the toppings last. Toppings can go on in any order, but the set has to match: an extra one, or a missing one, means the order is wrong.
- Watch the melt bar under the cone. It starts filling the moment the first scoop lands, and when it fills the top scoop slumps off and takes the toppings with it. Every level melts faster than the last.
- Undo removes the last thing you added — a topping, then a scoop, then the container. The melt clock keeps running through an undo, which is what makes a wrong scoop cost you something.
- Press Serve once the cone matches. You earn the order price plus a tip that scales with how much patience the customer had left, so speed pays twice.
- Clear the coin target before the last customer leaves to finish the shift and unlock the next level. Customers who run out of patience walk out and take their coins with them.
Tips
- Read the whole card before you touch a rack. Building the container and the first scoop from memory is where most wrong cones start, because the order reads bottom-up and the racks are laid out left-to-right.
- Take the shortest order in the queue first when two customers are close to walking out. Two quick single-scoop cones almost always beat one four-scoop tower you serve late.
- A tall order is worth more, but it is also more melt. On the later levels a four-scoop cone with two toppings has to be built almost without pausing to be served intact.
- If a scoop melts off, the toppings go too — so on a big order, hold the toppings until the scoops are all on and you can serve immediately after.
- The tip scales with the patience bar, not with speed in the abstract. Serving a customer who just arrived is worth up to half again, which is why grabbing a fresh order over a stale one sometimes pays more even though it feels wrong.
- Do not swap the container to fix a mistake — it empties the entire stack. Undo backs out one piece at a time and is almost always the cheaper fix.
- When the queue is full and everyone is red, pick one and finish it rather than switching between them. Selecting a different customer clears whatever was on the counter.
FAQ
Is Ice Cream Maker free to play?
Yes. It runs in your browser with no download, no account and no purchases. All eight shifts are there from the start, and nothing in the game is locked behind money — the coins are only ever a score.
How do you win a shift?
Reach the coin target before the last customer of the shift has been served or walked out. Coins come from the price of each order plus a tip, so both serving more customers and serving them faster move you toward the target.
What does the melt bar do?
It is the timer on the cone you are currently building, and it starts as soon as the first scoop goes on. If it fills, the top scoop slides off the stack and any toppings come off with it, so you have to scoop again. Later levels shorten it from twenty-two seconds down to twelve.
Does the order of the scoops matter?
Yes, for scoops. The card is read bottom-to-top and the scoops have to go on in exactly that order. Toppings are different — the set has to match, but you can add them in any order you like.
What happens if I add the wrong flavour?
Nothing stops you, but the wrong scoop is outlined in red and the cone will not serve while it is on. Undo takes it back off. The cost is not a life or a penalty — it is the melt clock, which keeps running the whole time you are fixing it.
Does Ice Cream Maker work on mobile?
Yes. Every action is a single tap, the racks sit under your thumb, and only the customer queue scrolls, so the buttons never move mid-rush. It plays the same on a phone, a tablet, or a desktop.
Is it the same shift every time I replay a level?
Restarting a level replays the exact same customers in the same order, so you can learn a shift you nearly cleared. New Shift generates a fresh set of orders at the same difficulty, so a level you enjoy does not run out.
Is this game suitable for kids?
Yes. There is no violence, no chat, no ads interrupting play and nothing to buy. The reading load is light — orders are pictures rather than text — and the first few levels are single-scoop cones with a long, forgiving melt timer.
