Submarine Shooter: Underwater Strike is a free browser-based submarine game you can play instantly — no download, no account, no daily limit. Drag anywhere to steer your sub between the surface and the seabed while it fires torpedoes forward automatically, so you only have to think about where to be. The water ahead fills with red-hulled patrol subs that shoot back, small hunter drones that ram instead of firing, and twin-barrelled turrets dug into the seabed that track you as you pass. Moored contact mines are the twist: swim into one and it breaches your hull, but put a torpedo into one and it detonates every mine in the blast, clearing whole minefields — and any hostile caught in them — in a single chain reaction. Crates dropped by wrecked hostiles repair a hull point, load a three-way torpedo spread, or fit a shield that absorbs one hit. Every 60 seconds a Leviathan dreadnought slides in from open water with a heavy health bar, alternating aimed fans and full-width torpedo walls, and launching drones from its flank blisters until you sink it. You start with three hull points and the run ends when the last one goes, so how far you get is entirely down to how well you read the water. Your best score is saved automatically.
How to play Submarine Shooter: Underwater Strike
- Tap Play, then drag anywhere on the water with your finger or mouse — your submarine follows and can move freely between the water surface and the seabed. Arrow keys or WASD steer it too on desktop.
- Torpedoes fire forward on their own the whole time, so your job is choosing where to be: line hostiles up ahead of you and keep clear of what is shooting back.
- Shoot contact mines instead of swimming into them. A hit mine detonates everything in its blast radius, chaining through a whole minefield and destroying any patrol sub, drone, or turret caught inside it.
- Collect the crates hostiles drop — one repairs a hull point, one loads 14 three-way torpedo spreads, one fits a shield that soaks a single hit — and survive the Leviathan that arrives every 60 seconds. The run ends when your third hull point is gone.
Tips
- Sit slightly back from the centre of the screen rather than up against the right edge — torpedoes still reach everything, and you keep enough room to react when a hunter drone drops in on an intercept course.
- Treat a cluster of mines as free points, not a wall: one torpedo into the nearest mine usually clears the whole field and anything escorting it, which is far more efficient than shooting each hostile down.
- Hunter drones steer toward whatever depth you are at, so a late change of depth makes them commit to empty water — patrol subs, which fire an aimed shot and keep going straight, punish standing still instead.
- Save a shield for the Leviathan. Its broadside wall covers every depth at once, and a shield charge is often the only way through it without losing hull.
FAQ
Is Submarine Shooter: Underwater Strike free to play?
Yes. Submarine Shooter is completely free to play online in your browser, with no download, no account, and no in-game purchases.
Does Submarine Shooter work on mobile?
Yes — drag anywhere on the screen with your finger to steer on touch devices, or use the mouse or arrow keys on desktop. Torpedoes fire automatically, so no fire button is needed.
How do the contact mines work?
Mines are moored to the seabed on chains and sit still in the water. Touching one costs you a hull point, but hitting one with a torpedo detonates it — and any other mine inside the blast goes up too, chaining outward. Every hostile caught in those blasts takes heavy damage, so a minefield is worth far more shot than dodged.
What do the three crate types do?
A repair crate restores one hull point up to a maximum of three, a spread crate loads 14 three-way torpedo volleys, and a shield crate fits a barrier that absorbs exactly one hit. Crates drop from destroyed hostiles, and the Leviathan always leaves a repair crate behind.
Does Submarine Shooter ever end?
No — it's an endless run rather than a fixed set of levels. The current pushes you along faster, hostiles arrive closer together, and a Leviathan returns every 60 seconds with more health than the last, so the goal is simply to beat your own best score and distance.
