Bamboo Brigade 3D is a free 3D crowd runner you play in your browser, with no download and no account. You begin the run as one lonely bamboo soldier jogging down a sunny path, and the only thing you ever control is which side of the road you are on. Everything else runs itself: your brigade fires forward automatically, picks its own targets, and grows or shrinks the instant it crosses a gate. Green gates add or multiply your soldiers, red gates subtract or divide them, and amber gates upgrade every gun in the squad from a bamboo sling all the way to a bamboo cannon. Monsters stream towards you the whole way, a boss blocks the path every few hundred metres, and any monster that reaches your ranks takes soldiers with it. The run ends when the last segment falls, so the score is simply how far one good chain of choices can carry you.

How to play Bamboo Brigade 3D

  1. Press Play, then Start run. You begin with a single bamboo soldier running forward on his own — the run never stops and the speed builds as you go.
  2. Steer left and right. On a phone or tablet, drag anywhere on the screen; on a desktop just move the mouse across the game, or hold the left and right arrow keys (A and D work too). That is the whole control scheme — there is no jump, no brake and no fire button.
  3. Your brigade shoots by itself. It picks the nearest monster ahead and fires a volley automatically, and a bigger crowd fires more shots per volley, so growing the brigade is how you raise your damage.
  4. Every gate row splits the road in two, and you always take the panel you are standing in front of when you cross it. Green gates are good: +12 adds twelve soldiers, ×3 triples them. Red gates are bad: −20 removes twenty, ÷2 halves the brigade. Amber GUN+ gates upgrade your weapon a tier instead of changing the crowd.
  5. Monsters run at you down the road. Shoot them before they arrive — any monster that touches the brigade takes soldiers with it, and the purple brutes cost several at once. A boss with its own health bar blocks the path every few hundred metres.
  6. The run ends the moment your last soldier is lost. Your distance, kills and biggest brigade appear on the results card, and your best distance is saved on your device.

Tips

  • Multiply beats add once you have more than about ten soldiers. A ×3 gate on a brigade of 30 is worth 60 extra troops, while the +18 next to it is worth 18 — but at the very start of a run, when you are still one or two segments, that same +18 is by far the stronger pick. Switch your default around the ten-soldier mark.
  • Take the weapon gates early, not late. Damage almost doubles every two tiers, while the number of shots per volley only grows with the square root of your crowd — so upgrading a small brigade multiplies its damage far more than another stack of soldiers would, and a stronger gun keeps paying for the rest of the run.
  • Monster health climbs with distance, so a brigade that stops growing is already losing. If you find yourself killing things later and later — monsters reaching your front rank instead of dying at range — treat the next multiply gate as compulsory even if a bad gate sits beside it.
  • Kill the purple brutes first. They are slower than the pink grunts, which makes them easy to ignore, but they cost you several soldiers on contact instead of one. Steer so the auto-aim finds them while they are still far away.
  • Do not hug the edge of the road. Monsters drift towards whichever lane you are in, so the ones you ran past are still curving in behind — staying near the middle keeps your firing line pointed at more of them and leaves you room to reach either gate.
  • A boss slot has no gate row in it, which means the road ahead is clear while you fight. Stay centred, let the volleys work, and remember that a boss reaching your brigade costs a dozen soldiers or more — if its health bar is barely moving, you needed a weapon upgrade several gates ago.

FAQ

Is Bamboo Brigade 3D free to play?

Yes. The game is completely free in your browser, with no download, no account and no in-game purchases. Your best distance and score are saved on your own device.

Does Bamboo Brigade 3D work on a phone?

Yes. On a phone or tablet you steer by dragging anywhere on the screen with one thumb, which is the only input the game needs. It also runs on desktop, where you can steer with the mouse or the arrow keys. Turning a phone sideways gives you a wider view of the road ahead and a little more warning before a gate row arrives.

How do you get more soldiers?

Through the gates. Every gate row splits the road into two panels and you take whichever one you cross: a green + gate adds that many soldiers to the brigade, and a green × gate multiplies the whole crowd. Red − and ÷ gates do the reverse, so a row is really a choice between the two panels rather than an obstacle to dodge.

What do the amber GUN+ gates do?

They upgrade every weapon in the brigade one tier, through six tiers from the Bamboo Sling up to the Bamboo Cannon. Each tier fires faster and hits harder, and the colour of your bullets changes to match. A weapon gate is always paired against a good troop gate, so taking the upgrade means giving up a stack of soldiers for it.

Does the game ever end?

Only when your brigade does. The road is endless and generated as you run, and it gets harder the further you go — monsters have more health, packs get bigger, and the run speeds up. There is no final level, so a run ends when the last bamboo soldier is lost and the score is how far you got.

Why does my brigade shoot on its own?

That is the design, not a missing control. The game is built to be played one-handed, so aiming and firing are automatic — your brigade targets the nearest monster ahead and fires on a fixed rhythm. Every decision that actually matters is a steering decision: which gate panel to cross, and which monsters to line up before they reach you.

Do I need to install anything to play?

No. The game runs in the browser using WebGL, which every current version of Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari supports. If the 3D view does not appear, hardware acceleration is usually switched off in your browser settings, or the browser is running in a restricted mode; turning it back on, or trying a different browser, resolves it.
