The bounce happens by itself — the only thing you steer is which platform you come down on.

Sky Bounce is a free online platform climbing game that runs in the browser with no download and no sign-up. Every platform you touch throws you back up at exactly the same speed, so height is never something you ask for; it is something you avoid losing. All you control is left and right, and the whole game is arriving over the next platform before gravity gets you to the bottom of the screen. Blue platforms slide from side to side and amber ones crumble after a single bounce, so the route up is never quite the route you planned.

How to play Sky Bounce

  1. Hold left or right — or the arrow keys — to move sideways. You never jump; landing on a platform bounces you automatically.
  2. Every bounce is the same height whatever speed you fell at, so a long drop is recoverable as long as something catches you.
  3. Green platforms are solid and stay put.
  4. Blue platforms slide from side to side, so aim at where one will be rather than where it is.
  5. Amber platforms crumble after a single bounce. They are a route up, not a place to come back to.
  6. The sides of the screen wrap, so drifting off one edge brings you back on the other — an edge is never a dead end.
  7. Falling a long way below your highest point ends the run. Eight flags mark how high you got.

Tips

  • Aim for the highest platform your bounce can reach, not the nearest one above you. Chasing the nearest costs you most of the height each bounce is worth.
  • Start drifting while you are still going up. The whole flight is about a second, and half of it is wasted if you wait to see where you are falling.
  • Wrapping is a shortcut, not an emergency exit. A platform near the right edge is often closer going left.
  • Treat amber platforms as one-way doors. If the only way back down is over one you have already broken, you are committed.
  • A slider is easiest to take at the end of its travel, where it is briefly still, rather than in the middle where it is fastest.
  • Every platform is placed inside one bounce of the one below it, both up and across, so there is always a route — if you cannot see it, you are aiming too high.
  • Nothing carries between runs, so restart at once rather than nursing a run that has dropped you into a corner.

FAQ

Is Sky Bounce free to play?

Yes. It runs in your browser with no download, no account and nothing to buy. Your best height is saved in the browser so the flags stay unlocked.

Do I press anything to jump?

No. The bounce is automatic and always the same height. Your only input is sideways, which is what makes the game about aim rather than timing.

Can the tower become impossible to climb?

No. Every platform is placed inside one bounce of the one below it — vertically inside the apex, and horizontally inside what full tilt covers while the bounce lasts. Sliding platforms have their travel charged against that same budget, so even two sliders in a row cannot drift out of reach.

What do the different platform colours mean?

Green is solid, blue slides from side to side, and amber crumbles after one bounce.

What happens if I run off the side of the screen?

You come back on the other side. It is often the fastest way to a platform near the opposite edge.

What ends a run?

Falling a long way below the highest point you reached. Short drops are fine — the next platform bounces you just as high whatever speed you hit it at.

Does Sky Bounce work on a phone?

Yes. Two hold pads sit across the bottom of the screen and the tower is drawn tall to fit a portrait frame.
