Skate Trick is a free online skateboarding game that runs in the browser with no download and no sign-up. Rolling happens by itself — the only thing you do is enter the trick, arrow by arrow, during the second or so the board is off the ground. Land it and the multiplier climbs; get an arrow wrong or run out of air and it collapses to one, which costs far more than the trick you missed. Eight lines run from a car park kerb to a contest vert ramp, with longer tricks and shorter air the further you go.
How to play Skate Trick
- The skater rolls towards each ramp on their own. You do not steer, push or jump.
- When the board leaves the ramp, the trick’s arrows appear under the canvas with the next one highlighted.
- Tap the arrow pads — or press the arrow keys — in that exact order before the air timer at the top runs out.
- Finish the sequence and you land the trick. Its value is the base score times the number of arrows times your current multiplier.
- Every landing pushes the multiplier up, to a maximum of five. Any bail drops it straight back to one.
- A wrong arrow bails you immediately. Running out of air with arrows left is an under-rotation, which costs you the same.
- Beat the level’s score target across the whole line to open the next one. Clearing it with no bails at all earns three stars.
Tips
- Protect the multiplier above everything. At five times, a single trick is worth five ordinary ones, so a cautious clean line beats a fast scrappy one every time.
- Read the whole sequence during the roll-in, not in the air. It is shown before you leave the ramp, and the air window is for fingers rather than eyes.
- Speed matters less than order. There is comfortable room in every air window for the arrows it asks for — the bails come from pressing the wrong one, not from being slow.
- When you feel yourself panicking on the last arrow, slow down. An under-rotation and a wrong arrow cost exactly the same, so there is nothing to gain from rushing a guess.
- The later levels give you longer tricks and slightly less air, but never less than a comfortable margin — the timings were measured rather than eyeballed.
- One bail early is far cheaper than one bail late, because the multiplier has less to lose. If you are going to fumble, fumbling on ramp one costs almost nothing.
- Restart Line replays the same tricks so you can learn the sequences. New Line reshuffles them at the same difficulty.
FAQ
Is Skate Trick free to play?
Yes. It runs in your browser with no download, no account and nothing to buy. All eight lines are here and they unlock as you beat their score targets.
Do I control the skateboard?
Only in the air. Rolling and jumping happen on their own; your entire input is entering the trick’s arrow sequence during the airtime over each ramp.
Why did I lose so many points from one mistake?
Because a bail resets the combo multiplier to one. The trick you missed is the small part; the expensive part is that the next few tricks are now worth a fifth of what they would have been.
What is the difference between bailing and under-rotating?
A bail is a wrong arrow, which ends the trick the instant you press it. An under-rotation is running out of air with arrows still to enter. They score the same, but the first one is a mistake and the second one is usually hesitation.
Is there enough time to enter the longer tricks?
Yes. Every air window is checked against the number of arrows it asks for with a real margin, so no level asks for inputs faster than a person can comfortably make them.
Can I play with a keyboard?
Yes. The arrow keys and WASD both work, and the on-screen pads do the same thing for touch.
Does Skate Trick work on a phone?
Yes. The four pads sit across the bottom of the screen under the trick display, so both are in view at once with your thumbs already on the buttons.
