Paper Toss is a free online paper throwing game that runs in the browser with no download and no sign-up. One drag sets three things at once: how high you throw, how hard, and how far off the bin you aim. After you let go nothing is in your hands — the paper flies and the wind pushes it sideways for the whole flight, so the correction has to be in the throw before it leaves. The wind is always shown and always changes between throws, so every shot is a fresh reading rather than a memorised angle. Eight rooms from a still office to a rooftop gale.

How to play Paper Toss

  1. Drag back from the paper ball. How far back you pull sets the power and how high you drag sets the arc.
  2. Dragging sideways aims the throw off to one side, which is how you answer the wind.
  3. The gauge across the top shows the wind: which way it blows and how hard.
  4. Let go to throw. Nothing you do after that changes the flight.
  5. The paper only counts if it drops into the bin from above — clipping the rim on the way up is a miss.
  6. The wind changes after every throw, so the shot that just worked will not work again unchanged.
  7. Sink the level’s target out of your throws to move on. Sinking all of them earns three stars.

Tips

  • Aim off the bin by more than looks right. The wind acts for the whole flight, so a long high throw drifts much further than a flat one.
  • A higher arc is more forgiving of power but much more exposed to wind, since it spends longer in the air.
  • On the windier rooms, flatten the throw and add power. Less hang time is less drift to correct for.
  • Read the gauge before every throw, not once per level. It is redrawn between shots and the direction flips as often as not.
  • The dotted preview shows the flight with no wind at all, so treat it as the line the wind will bend, not the line the paper will take.
  • Every wind on every level can be countered — that is checked by searching the whole aim grid — so a miss is a reading, never a wall.
  • Restart replays the level with the same sequence of winds, which is the fastest way to learn how much lean a given strength needs.

FAQ

Is Paper Toss free to play?

Yes. It runs in your browser with no download, no account and nothing to buy. All eight rooms are here and unlock as you clear them.

Can I steer the paper after I throw it?

No. Everything is decided by the drag: arc, power and how far off the bin you aim. That is the whole game — the wind is a problem you solve before releasing, not during the flight.

Is the wind always beatable?

Yes, and it is checked rather than assumed: the test suite searches the whole aim grid at every wind strength on every level and requires a scoring throw to exist. A level whose wind could not be countered would look exactly like being bad at the game.

Why did my shot bounce out?

The paper only counts if it is falling when it crosses the rim. A flat, fast throw can reach the bin while still rising, which hits the far side instead of dropping in.

Does the wind change while the paper is in the air?

No. It is fixed for the whole flight and redrawn for the next throw, so a shot is always a fair reading of what the gauge showed.

Does the dotted line show where it will land?

It shows the flight with no wind. The gap between that line and where the paper actually goes is exactly the correction you need to build into the next aim.

Does Paper Toss work on a phone?

Yes, and a drag is the natural gesture for it. The room, the bin and the wind gauge all scale to the frame.
