Street Soccer is a free online football game that runs in the browser with no download and no account. It is two or three a side on a walled court seen from above: the fences are in play, so a ball into the side comes straight back out and there are no throw-ins to break the rhythm. You drive whichever of your players is closest to the ball, which means control passes around your own side as the ball does, and passing is worth something because the team-mate you find becomes the player you are steering. Defenders take the ball off you simply by getting a body next to yours, so holding it is never safe for long. Eight courts run from a two-a-side corner pitch to a five-goal city final, and the opponents on the late courts are not faster than you — they react sooner and shoot straighter.
How to play Street Soccer
- Drag anywhere on the pitch to run. A stick appears where your finger goes down, so it never sits over a fixed corner of the screen. Arrow keys or WASD work too.
- You always control the player with the white ring — the one nearest the ball, or the one holding it.
- Tap PASS to find your team-mate ahead of you. Control moves to whoever receives it, so a pass is a way of changing which player you are driving as much as moving the ball.
- Tap SHOOT to hit the far goal. The nearer you are the harder it is to miss, and the wall behind the goal is in play if you do.
- The side fences rebound the ball. There are no throw-ins, so a pass off the wall is a real option in a tight corner.
- Defenders win the ball by getting a body right next to yours. There is no tackle button on either side — closing you down is the tackle.
- The team that concedes kicks off, and the side kicking off starts a step closer to the ball.
- First to the target score wins the court. Winning unlocks the next one; a win without conceding is worth three stars.
Tips
- Move it before they arrive. You lose the ball the moment an opponent gets a body alongside you, so the pass you make early is the one that works.
- Use the fences. A ball played into the side wall comes back on a predictable angle and beats a defender who is standing in the direct line.
- Do not chase the ball with your whole side — you only drive one player, and the other two hold position better than you would.
- Shoot from inside their half. A long shot loses so much speed to friction that their nearest defender simply collects it.
- When you win the ball deep, pass first and run second. Control jumps to the receiving player, which gets you up the pitch faster than dribbling could.
- On the late courts the opponents are not quicker, they are earlier. Give yourself an extra metre before you commit and their timing advantage disappears.
- New Opponents regenerates the match at the same difficulty; Restart Match replays the identical kickoff, which is what you want when you are working out a court.

Which player am I actually controlling?
The one with the white ring, which is whichever of your side is nearest the ball — or whoever is holding it. Control never snaps away from the player on the ball, so you can dribble without the game changing its mind.
How is this different from Football Challenge?
Football Challenge is a penalty shootout: one kick, a keeper and nothing else moving. This is a small-sided match with team-mates, defenders who close you down and walls that keep the ball in play.
How do I tackle?
By running at the player on the ball. There is no tackle button for either side — getting a body next to the carrier takes the ball, which is why holding on to it is never safe for long.
Does the ball ever go out of play?
No. The court is fenced, so the ball rebounds off the sides and off the back wall either side of the goal. That is what makes it street football rather than a scaled-down pitch.
Do the computer players cheat?
No. They run at the same top speed you do, kick with the same power and have the same control radius. What their skill level changes is how quickly they react to a loose ball and how straight they shoot.
Is it two a side or three?
Both. The first three courts are two a side, which keeps the pitch open while you learn the controls; from the fourth it is three a side and the space closes up.
Does Street Soccer work on a phone?
