Mini Golf is a free online putting game played from above, with proper rolling physics rather than a fixed path. Drag back from the ball to aim and set your power, then let go: the ball rolls, slows to friction, and bounces off every wall by reflecting off the surface it hits, so a bank shot round a corner works exactly the way you would expect it to. Sand traps multiply the friction and kill a ball almost on contact. Water sends you back to where you played from and adds a penalty stroke. Twelve holes run from a straight par 2 through gates, doglegs, an island green and a full spiral, each with its own par and a running scorecard underneath. Nothing is random — the same aim and power always produce the same roll, so a hole you have read is a hole you can beat.

How to play Mini Golf

  1. Press and drag back from the ball — the further you pull, the harder the putt. The aim line points where the ball will go.
  2. Release to play the shot. The ball rolls, slows down, and bounces off any wall it meets.
  3. Get the ball into the cup. It has to be rolling slowly enough to drop — a ball travelling flat out will rim the hole and carry on.
  4. Sand slows the ball dramatically. Crossing a bunker is usually a wasted stroke, so play around it if there is room.
  5. Water costs you a penalty stroke and puts the ball back where you played from, so the safe line is often worth taking.
  6. Each hole has a par. Your running card at the top shows total strokes against the par of every hole you have finished.

Tips

  • Aim at a wall, not at the cup. On a dogleg, the shortest reliable line is usually one clean bounce off the side rather than a squeeze through the gap.
  • A ball has to be slow to drop. On a straight hole, three-quarters power that dies at the cup beats a full-power putt that rims out every time.
  • Read the whole hole before your first shot. Getting through the first gate with the ball still moving toward the second one is worth more than distance.
  • Nothing here is randomised. If a shot nearly went in, repeat the same drag length and angle slightly adjusted — the roll will be identical apart from your change.
  • On the island green, going long into the water costs two strokes. Play short, then putt across on the second.

FAQ

Is Mini Golf free to play online?

Yes. It runs entirely in your browser with no download, no account, and no in-game purchases. Your hole progress saves on your own device.

How many holes are there?

Twelve, each with its own par between 2 and 5. They run from a straight opener through gates, doglegs, sand belts, an island green and a full spiral.

Why did my ball skip over the hole?

Because it was going too fast. A cup only catches a ball that is rolling slowly enough to drop into it, in this game and on a real green — that is why a controlled putt beats a hard one.

What happens if I hit the water?

One penalty stroke, and the ball goes back to the spot you played from. So a shot into water costs two strokes in total, exactly as in golf.

Can I play mini golf on a phone?

Yes. Aiming is a touch drag from the ball, and the course is drawn portrait so the whole hole fits a phone screen without scrolling.
