Golf Solitaire is a free online card game you can play instantly in your browser, no download or account needed. Seven columns of five face-up cards sit above a single foundation pile — tap any column's front card to play it onto the foundation if it's one rank higher or lower, suit doesn't matter. Stuck? Turn the next stock card straight onto the foundation to open up new plays; there's no redeal, so every draw counts. Play through 9 holes, from an easier Ace-King wrap start to Golf's strict, no-wrap tournament rules by the back nine.

How to play Golf Solitaire

1. You start with 7 columns of 5 face-up cards and one card turned up to start the foundation pile in the center.
2. Tap the front card of any column to play it onto the foundation if it's exactly one rank higher or lower than the foundation's top card — suit doesn't matter.
3. No legal tableau play left? Tap the stock pile to turn its next card face up straight onto the foundation, which usually opens up new plays across the columns.
4. Clear every card off all 7 tableau columns to win the hole and unlock the next one. The stock never reshuffles, so once it runs out you're playing with only what the tableau already shows.
5. The first 3 holes also let an Ace and King connect (the easier "Putt-Putt" rule); from hole 4 onward it's strict Golf, where Aces and Kings never connect.

Tips

• When you have a choice of legal plays, favor the column with the most cards left — clearing five deep beats clearing a column that only had one card in it.
• Scan every column's front card before you draw from the stock — you can often chain several tableau plays in a row without touching the stock at all.
• The stock is one-way with no redeal, so every card you turn is final. Exhaust your tableau options first rather than drawing out of habit.
• After playing a card, immediately check whether the card newly exposed beneath it also matches the foundation — runs of 3-4 cards from one column are common if you look for them.
