Breachpoint is a free wave-survival first-person shooter that runs entirely in your browser, with no download and no account. You defend a desert compound of shipping containers, concrete blast walls and waist-high barricades against squads that arrive from the perimeter in waves. Each wave is larger and tougher than the last, and the soldiers are not target practice: they advance under cover, break off when you take their line of sight away, work around obstacles to find a fresh angle, and fire in bursts rather than a constant stream. Clearing a wave resupplies you and restores your health, so how deep you get is a question of how well you handle each fight, not how much ammo you hoarded. Body shots wear a soldier down; headshots pay far more and end the fight sooner. Kills without taking damage build a streak multiplier that can more than double your score, and one careless push resets it. Everything you see is generated by code at load time — the textures, the compound layout, the weapon, the soldiers and every sound.
How to play Breachpoint
- Press Play, then press Deploy on the briefing card. On a desktop the game locks your mouse pointer so you can look around freely — press Escape at any time to release it, and click once to go back in.
- Move with WASD or the arrow keys and aim with the mouse. Hold Shift to sprint forward, tap Space to jump onto crates and containers, and hold Ctrl or C to crouch behind the waist-high barricades.
- Click to fire. Your first shot is dead accurate, but holding the trigger walks the muzzle upward, so fire in short bursts at anything further than a few metres. Hold the right mouse button to bring the optic up: it zooms in, tightens your accuracy and slows you down.
- Press R to reload, or just keep firing — pulling the trigger on an empty magazine reloads automatically. You cannot fire while reloading, so break contact or duck behind cover before you top up.
- Each soldier has 100 health and gains more on later waves. A body hit takes roughly a quarter off, a headshot does close to triple that. The crosshair flashes when you connect and turns orange when you kill.
- Clearing every soldier in a wave restores your health to full and hands you two spare magazines, then the next wave starts after a short countdown. Kills without being hit build a streak multiplier up to 2.5x, and taking any damage resets it to zero.
- On a phone or tablet, drag on the left half of the screen to move — push the stick right to the edge to sprint — and drag on the right half to look. The on-screen FIRE, ADS, R, JMP and CRH buttons handle the rest. Turning the device to landscape gives you a much wider view.
Tips
- Burst-fire. The recoil climb is what kills most runs: two or three rounds, let the muzzle settle, fire again. Holding the trigger across a full magazine will put most of it above your target.
- Aim at head height. Because your eyes are above a standing soldier's shoulders, a level shot at someone on the same ground is already a headshot — you often do not need to aim up at all.
- Break line of sight rather than trading shots. Soldiers stop firing the moment a container or blast wall is between you, and they need a moment to reacquire you after they work around it. That gap is your reload window.
- Crouching tightens your accuracy noticeably, and the waist-high barricades are exactly tall enough to cover a crouched player while you shoot over them.
- Do not stand still in the open during a big wave. They spawn around the whole perimeter, so anything that leaves your back exposed to half the compound will get you shot from behind — watch the red wedge on the screen edge for the direction.
- The streak multiplier is worth more than the kills themselves. A careful wave taken without damage scores far better than a fast one where you trade hits, so use the intermission to reposition rather than pushing a wounded run.
FAQ
Is Breachpoint free to play?
Yes. Breachpoint is completely free and runs in your browser. There is no download, no installation, no account and no in-game purchase of any kind.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. On a touch device you get a left-thumb movement stick, right-thumb look, and on-screen fire, aim, reload, jump and crouch buttons. It plays best in landscape, and the game automatically lowers its shadow and texture quality on phones so the frame rate stays smooth.
How many waves are there?
There is no final wave. Waves keep coming and keep growing, with more soldiers, more health and better accuracy each time, until you are killed. Your best score and the deepest wave you reached are saved on your device.
Do I need a powerful computer?
No. The game is rendered with WebGL, which any browser from the last several years supports, and it picks a quality level to match your device. Everything you see is generated from code when the game loads, so there are no large image or audio files to download.
How do I get my mouse back?
Press Escape. The game locks your mouse pointer so you can turn without hitting the edge of the window; Escape releases it at any time, and clicking on the game window locks it again.
