Reaction Time Test is a free online reflex speed test you can play instantly in your browser, no download or account needed. Tap Start, then watch the panel: it stays red while you wait, then flips to green at a random moment — tap the instant it changes and your reaction time in milliseconds gets recorded. Tap too early and it is a false start, so that trial simply resets rather than ending your round. Run through a handful of trials and your average reaction time is compared against the level's target. Play through 15 levels that add more trials and tighten the target average from a forgiving 500 milliseconds down to a genuinely elite 220 milliseconds, with no timer forcing you to wait between rounds — beat the target and the next level unlocks immediately.

How to play Reaction Time Test

1. Tap Start Round to begin — the panel turns red and waits a random amount of time before changing.
2. Watch closely: the moment the panel turns green, tap it as fast as you can.
3. Tapping before it turns green is a false start — it just resets that trial, no penalty beyond losing a moment.
4. Complete every trial in the round to see your average reaction time.
5. Beat the level's target average to clear it and unlock the next one — later levels add more trials and demand a faster average.

Tips

• Keep your finger or cursor resting near the panel instead of pulling back between trials — travel time counts against your reaction time.
• Watch for the color change itself, not for a pattern in the timing — the wait is randomized specifically so you can't anticipate it.
• A false start costs you a moment, not the round — if you jump the gun, just relax and wait for the next flash.
• Your average is what matters, not your single best trial — a couple of slightly slow taps are fine if the rest are quick.
