Off-Road Truck is a free online off-road driving game that runs in the browser with no download and no account. Every other driving game rewards speed; this one charges you for it. The truck is carrying crates that nothing is holding on, and any landing hard enough throws one off the back — so the goal is not a lap time but how much of the load reaches the end. Two pedals plus reverse are all you get, and the truck is modelled as two wheel contacts rather than a dot, so the front wheel climbs a rock before the rear one does and the body pitches while it happens. Pitch is what decides whether the engine pulls you over the top or puts you on the roof. Eight trails run from a gravel track to a canyon rim with twenty-one rock steps, and a delivery only counts once the target number of crates is still on the bed.

How to play Off-Road Truck

1. Hold GAS to pull forward, BRAKE to slow down and stop, and BACK to reverse off something you cannot climb.
2. The crates stacked on the flatbed are your score. Every landing harder than a gentle bump throws exactly one of them off.
3. Each trail names how many crates have to arrive. Fewer than that and the run does not count, however quickly you got there.
4. Watch the pitch of the body, not the ground ahead. Past about sixty degrees the truck goes over onto its roof and the run is finished.
5. Brake going downhill. Cresting a ridge with speed launches the truck, and what you land on is what costs you the load.
6. A big enough fall writes the truck off entirely rather than just costing a crate, so treat a drop as something to lower yourself down.
7. If a rock stops you, reverse a couple of metres and come at it slower rather than revving into it. Reverse is deliberately weaker than forward — it is a recovery, not a second gear.
8. The clock is loose on purpose: it is there so a stuck truck cannot idle forever, not to make you hurry.

Tips

• Slowest over the crest, not slowest overall. Speed on the flat costs you nothing; the same speed arriving at a drop costs you a crate.
• Ease off before the front wheel tops a rock. The truck pitches most just as the front lifts, and that is where a nudge of throttle becomes a flip.
• A crate is worth more than a minute. If you are unsure of a line, stop, look at the pitch and creep — the time limit has room for that on every trail.
• Reverse is a real tool. Backing off and re-approaching a boulder at a different point is usually easier than powering through the line you first picked.
• Watch the rail along the top for where you are on the trail. The camera follows the truck vertically, so a long climb otherwise gives you no sense of progress.
• Three stars means the full load, not the target load. Once the target is safe it is worth crawling the rest rather than banking it.
