Sobosuba Blob Merge is a free browser physics puzzle — no download, no sign-up, and it plays with a mouse or one finger. How to play Sobosuba Blob Merge
- Press Play. Numbered blobs drift onto the float bar across the top of the tank — 1s at first, then bigger values as you merge your way up to them.
- Press near any blob on the bar and drag. A white arrow shows the direction and strength; the further you drag, the harder the launch. Release to fire. Tap a blob without dragging to just let it drop, or drag the arrow back to the blob (or right-click) to cancel.
- Two blobs showing the same number merge into one worth double the moment they touch: 1 and 1 make 2, 2 and 2 make 4, and so on. That includes two waiting on the bar, so let matching blobs meet up there before you fire them.
- A new blob prints its number faded and scores nothing yet. When it merges, the result counts toward your score at full value. Merging two blobs that were already counted adds nothing — it gives you back room instead.
- Each side wall has a bumper. When the pile pushes both of them in at the same time, the run is over — one bumper held on its own is only a warning.
- On a keyboard, Q and E pick a blob on the bar, the arrow keys aim and set power, Space launches and Escape cancels.
Tips
- Use the bar. Two matching blobs waiting side by side merge before you ever fire them, so a pair that would cost two shots and two spaces in the tank goes in as one. Leave a matching neighbour waiting rather than firing it right away.
- A soft launch is a placement tool and a hard launch is a wrecking ball. A near-zero shot drops a blob into a gap without moving anything around it; a full-power shot drives a blob down through a crust of small ones to reach a match buried underneath.
- Blobs are squishy, so a gap narrower than the blob is still a gap. Aim straight at a tight opening above a match and launch hard — the blob deforms its way through rather than bouncing off.
- Fresh blobs are where the points are. A fresh 8 merging into a counted 8 scores 8; two counted 8s merging score nothing. Keep feeding new blobs into merges and the score climbs fast.
- Keep the big blobs low and against one wall. A large blob in the middle splits the pile into two basins, and it is the sides of the pile that press the bumpers — keep at least one side low and the run cannot end.
- The bar only refills when there is room at its ends. The gauges along the top show how much clear space each end sees; launch from the side that is crowded to make room for the next delivery.

How does scoring work in Sobosuba Blob Merge?
Your score is the total value of every blob that has taken part in a merge. A freshly delivered blob shows a faded number and counts for nothing until it merges; then its value joins the score. Merging two blobs that were already counted adds nothing, because their value is already on the board — that merge pays you in space instead, since the new blob is a third smaller than the pair. The score never goes down.
What ends a run?
The two bumpers in the side walls. When the pile pushes both of them in at the same time, the run is over. A bumper being pressed on one side alone is a warning, not a loss, so clearing pairs on either side brings you back.
What are the trophies and colour styles?
There are 30 trophies, and each one unlocks a colour style for the blobs and tank. Some come from simply playing — a 64 on the bar, a big blob — and others ask for tricks: merging two blobs in mid-air, a cascade of merges without launching anything, a tank cleared down to one lone blob, or a run that ends on exactly 100 points.
What is the Daily run?
A run dealt from the date, so everyone playing on the same day (UTC) gets the same blobs in the same order. Your best Daily score is kept separately from your normal best.
What is the biggest blob in Sobosuba Blob Merge?
The chain runs 1, 2, 4, 8, 16 and so on by doubling, up to 16384. Building an 8192 is one of the hardest trophies, and the biggest blob of each run is shown beside the score.
