FreeCell Solitaire is the free online version of the classic all-face-up card game you can play instantly in your browser, no download or account needed. All 52 cards deal face up across 8 tableau columns, so there is no hidden information — just planning. Build descending, alternating-color runs on the tableau, park any single card in one of four free cells to open up space, and move cards up to their foundation in ascending suit order from Ace to King to win. Tap a card to select it, then tap a free cell, foundation, or column to place it — legal moves highlight instantly, and a whole run can move at once as long as it fits the supermove limit shown by your open cells and empty columns. Play through 15 levels that tighten the one real FreeCell difficulty knob, open free cells, from a forgiving four down to a single cell, with no timer forcing you to wait between rounds — clear a deal and the next level unlocks immediately. Use Hint for a nudge, Auto to sweep every ready card to its foundation in one tap, Undo to back out of a bad move, and New Deal any time you want a fresh shuffle at the same level.

How to play FreeCell Solitaire

1. Tap a tableau card, a free cell card, or a foundation-bound card to select it — every card is dealt face up, so nothing is hidden.
2. Tap a tableau column to drop the selection there — it fits on an empty column with any card, or on a card one rank higher in the opposite color.
3. Tap an open free cell to park a single selected card there temporarily, freeing up the column underneath it.
4. Tap a foundation pile to send a selected card up to it — foundations build the same suit upward starting from Ace.
5. A whole descending run can move at once, up to (open free cells + 1) cards, doubling for each other empty column you can relay through.
6. Clear all 52 cards onto the four foundations to win the level and unlock the next one — later levels reduce the number of free cells down to just one.

Tips

• Study the full board before your first move — every card is visible from the start, so FreeCell rewards planning far more than luck.
• Keep at least one free cell or empty column open whenever you can; running out of both is the main way a deal gets stuck.
• An empty tableau column accepts any card, not just a King — use that flexibility to reroute a run rather than just parking a single card.
• Use the Auto button once the tableau is mostly resolved to instantly sweep every safe card up to its foundation.
